206/2017 Scottish Thistle Awards in association with Fishers

Fishers land headline sponsorship of 2016/2017 Scottish Thistle Awards

Fishers Laundry has been named as the headline sponsor for the Scottish Thistle Awards 2016/17.

Scotland’s leading commercial laundry has agreed a deal that will see Scotland’s premier tourism awards officially named the “2016/2017 Scottish Thistle Awards in association with Fishers”.

Fishers is the market leader for textile rental, industrial workwear and laundry throughout Scotland and the north of England.  The company cleans, irons and delivers more than two million items every week, providing linen rental, workwear hire and cleanroom garment services to the hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals sectors.

Fishers’ client base includes major hotel chains such as Premier Inn, Travelodge, Accor and Jury’s Inn, as well as prestigious venues such as the Caledonian Waldorf Astoria, Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin; and world class event venues such as the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. When visitors sleep in a hotel, chances are, they do so in Fishers bed linen, that they use Fishers towels and dine in restaurants with Fishers tablecloths and napkins.

Fishers are more than just a laundry company, in 2016 VisitScotland worked in partnership with Fishers to celebrate the Year of Innovation, Architecture & Design to identify and commission designs of Scotland and the North of England’s most iconic landmarks. The designs are now being applied to Fishers vehicles fleet of over 80 vehicles that travel throughout the country, demonstrating the company’s continued support for the hospitality and tourism sector in Scotland.

The Scottish Thistle Awards, which are led by a panel of industry experts, celebrate tourism businesses or suppliers across the country who have gone the extra mile to offer an outstanding visitor experience.
