About Us

Scotland's tourism industry, we believe, is the heart and soul of the country, employing over 200,000 passionate and committed individuals who between them help generate £11b of income per annum.

For over 20 years the Scottish Thistle Awards have been recognised as Scotland's tourism industry's Oscars. Organised by VisitScotland in association with the Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards, Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards, HIT Scotland, Scotland Food and Drink, Scottish Licenced Trade Association, Scottish Tourism Alliance and sportscotland, these prestigious awards are without doubt the ones our industry leaders want to receive and have in their trophy cabinet!

The Scottish Thistle Awards is based on 5 regional programmes with the winners progressing to the National Final.

Regions included in the programme consist of Aberdeen City and Shire, Central, Fife & Tayside, Highlands and Islands, Lothians and Borders and West. The winners of each area will represent their regional categories at the national final awards ceremony.
