Regional Programme

The Scottish Thistle Awards are now based on four regional award programmes with the winners of categories from each region going forward to the national finals.

Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards

The Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards are the official partner of the Scottish Thistle Awards for the Highlands region.

Winners of the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards will be announced in October and will automatically go foward to the National Scottish Thistle Awards in November to compete with the other 3 regions of Scotland.

Regions are based on the following local authority areas:

Highlands & Islands 
Comharile nan Eilean Siar, Highland Council, Moray Council, Orkney Islands Council, Shetland Islands Council

North East & Tayside
Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, Angus Council, Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council

Central South East
Clackmannanshire Council, East Lothian Council, Edinburgh City Council, Falkirk Council, Fife Council, Midlothian Council, Scottish Borders Council,  Stirling Council, West Lothian Council

Central South West
Argyll & Bute Council, Dumfries & Galloway Council, East Ayrshire Council, East Dunbartonshire Council, East Renfrewshire Council, Glasgow City Council, Inverclyde Council,  North Ayrshire Council, North Lanarkshire Council, Renfrewshire Council, South Ayrshire Council, South Lanarkshire Council, West Dunbartonshire Council
