An award for:
Bespoke programmes that have been successful in increasing visitors to Scotland.
Who should enter?
UK and/or internationally-based inbound operators
What the judges are looking for:
A clear rationale for the development of the programme, and details of how it was marketed and sold. Entries should show the results and demonstrate how the project contributed to the growth of Scottish tourism.
Conditions of Entry:
- Only online entries are accepted.
- A business or individual can enter more than one category
- Entries must be submitted by 11.59pm on Thursday 5 June 2008.

Judges reserve the right to transfer entries which in their view are entered in an incorrect category, to a more appropriate category.

Where applicable, entrants must be a member of VisitScotland’s Quality Assurance schemes.

If you are submitting an entry on behalf of another party, you must be able to provide proof of permission if required.
- The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All information will be treated as confidential and will be used solely for the purposes of the Scottish Thistle Awards.
- For PR purposes, VisitScotland reserve the right to publish contact details and a summary of short listed and winners entries.
- Scottish Thistle Award winners and finalist will be promoted in national and regional media and on the visitscotland.com and the Scottish Thistle Awards websites.
- VisitScotland cannot be held responsible for the non-receipt or loss of any entries.
- Wining organisations / businesses must be prepared to give media interviews, and we encourage winning organisations to become Scottish Thistle Awards champions by help us promote the values of excellence and quality.
